Secure car parks

As from 1st April 2008 eurotoll expands its services offer and gives you access to four secure HGV car parks located on the major French north-south motorway routes.

Why secure car parks for heavy goods vehicles ?

A study carried out by IRU and the International Transports Forum has shown that 17% of the drivers in Europe questioned had suffered attacks over a given period of five years.
In 60% of cases these attacks targeted the vehicle and its load.
To ensure the safety of drivers as well as of the transported goods, secure car parks propose their services 7/7 and 24/24.

  • Deterioration risk reduction
  • Reinforced guarantee as concerns insurance clauses in case of theft

How to use the eurotoll ETC tags ?

As from this first trial phase, all eurotoll ETC tags (DSRC tags and Tribox^TM give access to these 4 car parks.

Depending on the car park, the tag is used :

• Either in the entry lane (to identify the tag and authorise access) and in the exit lane (to record the transaction and subsequent invoicing),
• Or in the exit lane only. In that case the driver is handed a time and date stamped receipt upon entering ; this receipt will have to be produced in the exit lane upon leaving

Signposting in each car park will guide you as soon as you arrive.

All HGV ETC tags give access to the secure car parks: do not forget to put yours away if you do not wish it to be detected (so that no transaction will be recorded).

Recorded secure car park transactions will be integrated into your eurotoll invoice, according to the same procedure as your toll transactions and specified on your detailed journey statement. Simplicity itself
